Intro to Hollow Ornaments - 1 Day Flameworking Class

Instructor: Alex Couture aka Jam Bear

Learn to make a hollow ornament in our flameworking studio! Students will learn to pull points and make classic shapes like spheres and tear drops with clear glass. Students will progress to adding colour accents. In addition, you will learn technical aspects of glass and safety. This is a fun and festive way to kick off the holiday season!

No experience necessary. All materials are included. Age 16+

Students who have taken this workshop can attend Newbie Night. 

About the Instructor

Alex Couture uses nostalgic elements in his glass work to capture attention and spark memories to create a conversation and heighten the viewing experience. What draws him to glass is the freedom of expression that it offers. It allows him to tell his story and connect with people through art. Originally from Ottawa, he moved to Vancouver in 2018 to pursue glass full time.
