Level up your glassblowing fundamentals—repetition and refinement.
This intermediate hot shop session is all about building confidence through repetition. We’ll focus on core techniques so you can tighten up your process and level up your control.
Expect a fast-paced, hands-on environment with lots of turns at the bench. This is your time to refine, repeat, and push your skills forward with guidance and support.
This class is process-focused—participants should not expect to finish polished pieces, but rather to build skills through practice and repetition.
Come ready to work, stay focused, and have fun!

About the Instructors
Claire attended Sheridan College, taking the Craft and Design Glass program where she discovered her passion for glass. Over time, her series’ and ideas have evolved, however, they continue to revolve around themes of vulnerability, addiction, trauma and feminism.
Claire has accumulated a wide range of knowledge over the span of her career. She has built glassblowing studios, travelled to artist residencies, taught workshops and classes as well as showcased work in Canada and the US. While glass is still her primary obsession, she continues to experiment with different processes and materials to push her ideas and grow as a conceptual artist.
Steffan is a multidisciplinary craftsperson and designer currently residing in Vancouver, Canada. Originally from the UK, he has spent the last decade working as a glassblower and technician for interior design and industrial design companies. He has been a member of Terminal City Glass Co-op for the last five years and proud teacher for two. Obsessed with creating and the processes of making things by hand, he currently works with a mix of ceramics and glass to create functional and decorative objects.
Travis is a Vancouver-based glassblower with eight years of experience working in production glass. He works at the architecture and lighting design firm Bocci, where he collaborates closely with the design team to realize new lighting designs in glass.
Travis was first introduced to glass at Terminal City in 2017, where he now returns as an instructor. His teaching focuses on fundamentals and collaborative hot shop practices, with an emphasis on process, and problem-solving through making.
